Edward Lee Pando
| Ed, Eddie
or Edward Lee. Depending if you
are from his old or new
school said this about his art.
"In times of good, in times of bad my art marks the events and emotions of the memories in my life" Edward Lee and his wife Vanessa have lived in the Jemez Mountains almost 20 years. They have been blessed with a good life, a wonderful home, a great family and beautiful friends. I started taking 35mm pictures and Polaroid pictures when he was 15 years old. I took a photography class in High School and from then on I was hooked. While serving in the United States Coast Guard as an HC - 130 loadmaster one of my duties was to take black and white pictures of large fishing boats on the Bering Sea. The HC -130 would dive down from 25,000 ft. I would take 40 to 50 frames. The frames were used to determine if any illegal fishing activities were occuring. Later on while working as a contractor for Los Alamos National Laboratory I learned how to use PhotoShop an a small light bulb went off in my head and I began taking pictures and then altering with PhotoShop. I was so impressed I purchased a Hi Quality HP DesignJet Plotter that could print on canvas or paper and a hi-resolution digital camera the rest is history. |
